Alberta Association
for Supervision and Curriculum Development
The
purpose of the Affiliate shall be to provide educational leadership
by:
• providing members
with information on educational issues and trends
• providing the
educational community with opportunities to openly discuss and debate
topics of interest or concern
• presenting to
members various perspectives on educational matters through informal
discussions with those who fill different roles in the educational
community.
The mission statement of
the Affiliate is " Alberta ASCD, an affiliate of ASCD International,
is a diverse community of educators committed to quality public
education. We provide to our membership professional development
opportunities that result in improved teaching and learning".
Membership
Any individual who is interested
in the improvement of education is eligible for active membership
in the Alberta Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development
upon the payment of Affiliate dues. An active member shall be eligible
to vote, hold office, and participate in the deliberations of the
Affiliate. All members shall be encouraged to join and participate
in the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development.
